Alternative uses of olive oil as a beauty and health product

Regularly consuming olive oil is a self-sacrificing gesture. It's well known that this product can significantly contribute to the proper functioning of our bodies , but it's equally important to understand its alternative uses . Olive oil can be used not only as a food but also as a beauty product : thanks to its properties, it can be used for hair, skin, and even irritation treatment. Its oily consistency and nutrient content also make it ideal as a tonic or conditioner, leaving hair shiny, soft, and stronger. After warming it for a few seconds, simply apply warm oil to damp hair, gently massaging the scalp (it also helps fight dandruff!), spreading it to the ends, and leaving it on for 30 minutes! Furthermore, to eliminate split ends naturally, you can also prepare a restructuring mask with three tablespoons of oil and three tablespoons of honey, well blended, to be applied from mid-lengths to ends. After covering your hair with plastic wrap for about half an hour, you can proceed with your usual shampoo. The presence of vitamin E makes olive oil an excellent antioxidant for our skin , fighting wrinkles and general aging of the skin. It can be used daily as a moisturizing cream for the body and face to keep the most sensitive areas more elastic. Its properties are also useful for combating dry lips : mixed with melted beeswax, it will create your own personal cocoa butter! Thanks to its oily consistency, it can be used during shaving to allow a smoother glide of the razor and avoid annoying redness of the skin. One of the most classic grandmother's remedies is the use of olive oil for the care and cleaning of the ears . To eliminate earwax, a three-day treatment is enough: every morning, pour 2 or 3 drops of warm oil into your ear and tilt your head so the liquid penetrates deeply. For infections, it can be helpful to prepare an infusion of olive oil and crushed garlic, strain it, and apply it to the affected ear. These are just a few of the alternative uses of olive oil; it can even be used for cleaning your home, but it's certainly an indispensable product for treating our bodies with natural remedies, both inside and out!
