The Vocation for Oil
Back in the 1970s, Mr. Vincenzo Pace, encouraged by family and friends, decided to pursue his passion for olive oil. He began selling his oil outside the small town of Avigliano, in Basilicata, to raise awareness throughout the region.

The First Oil Mill
Mr. Vincenzo Pace's oil was an immediate success, convincing him to invest his savings and energy into realizing his dream: opening his own olive oil mill. Thus, the Pace family's first olive oil mill was established in the municipality of Pietragalla.

A New Image and the Birth of the Brand
With these initial successes, the quality of customer service also improved: new, modern packaging was introduced for Frantoio Pace products, and shipments were shipped in distinctive, customized vans for the first time.

The Renewal of Production Facilities
Many things happened in the long 2000s. The mill underwent several renovations over time, eventually building an innovative plant with three production lines (the traditional millstones, the crusher, and the stoner). Telephone sales were introduced to ensure direct delivery throughout Italy. Production of pitted extra virgin olive oil began after two years of research with the University of Basilicata. The first website and online shop were launched.
The Story Continues
Since 2017, Canio and Rocco Pace have been registered in the Regional Register of Master Olive Oil Makers – Official Bulletin of the Puglia Region, Year XLVIII - Bari 31/August 2017, Number 102.
Today, more than 30,000 families in Italy share the pleasure of savoring Frantoio Oleario Pace extra virgin olive oil.
