The competition, now in its 17th edition, is organised by the Department of Agricultural and Forestry Policies of the Basilicata Region and by Alsia. The aim of the Award is to promote the improvement and culture of quality of Basilicata extra virgin olive oil, along with its promotion, marketing and consumption in the marketplace. Within this framework fits the regional Olivarum Award, aimed at supporting the various stages of the supply chain, which must become increasingly specialised in Basilicata.
