Olio Extravergine Lucano I.G.P. achieved the Biolnovello Gold Medal recognition at the Biol Competition held in Bari on 24 December 2020, ranking among the best extra virgin oils in Italy.
A further award for this extra virgin olive oil, achieved just a few days after we became the first in Basilicata to receive the European I.G.P. Olio Lucano trademark recognition.
Our Novello Extra Virgin olive oil, which won the Gold Medal 2020, is among the best oils, a High Quality product due to the various distinctive features that characterise it, and it offers high added value.
- It is Organic because it is produced from olives grown under Organic Farming as certified by bioAgricert;
- it is a Novello oil because it is produced with the first olives of the 2020/2021 harvest;
- it is Pitted because it is obtained by processing only the olive pulp, with very low yields and a high concentration of polyphenols;
- it is a Single-cultivar because the olives used in production are exclusively of the Coratina variety;
- it is an oil with the EU mark I.G.P. Olio Lucano as recognised by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies.
